Would You Rather Drive Or Take The Bus?
Would you rather drive your own car or take bus? Basically, it all depends on your lifestyle, finances, your comfort level and the area you reside in. It may be more convenient to take public transit in the city instead of driving. If you aren’t very sociable, it may also be uncomfortable having to sit next to strangers; you are likely to run into some very interesting characters on the bus.
The main advantage of riding in your own car instead of taking public transportation is the fact that you have complete privacy. It’s nice to be able to roll down the window and adjust to stereo to your liking. If you're like me, you will feel uncomfortable sitting next to people you don't know. However, some individuals are very sociable and don’t mind sitting next to and even conversing with strangers (I am not one of them).
People who live in areas with a lot of congestion and limited parking spaces such as Downtown L.A may prefer to take the bus or the redline at times. Same for individuals in cities like San Francisco or Portland which are well known for a wonderful public transportation system.
The main problem with taking the bus is that you have to walk; this may be an issue if you live in an unsafe area. For some it can be a plus. For others it may be a drawback. Another drawback with taking the bus is that you have to carry all your groceries and shopping bags and as a result you may not be able to buy as much. One of the advantages of taking the bus is that you don't have to pay for registration costs or expensive repairs.
